Iterations in Stone
January 4 – March 30, 2016

“Iterations in Stone” opens at The Desert Light Gallery

The Desert Light Gallery, located in Mojave National Preserve’s Kelso Visitors Center, Kelso California, announces the opening of a new fine art photography exhibit, “Iterations in Stone”, (January 4rd — March 30th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The exhibit is an Artists in Residence exhibition from art photographer Ken Cook.

Iterations in Stone includes 18‐pigment on paper prints derived from a thematic study of a complex rock formation in the Mid Hills area of Mojave National Preserve. These large-scale prints are texturally captivating, but the role of an artist is often to dismantle existing communication codes and reassemble them to present the world with new views.
